Online Classes

  • Craftsy. Offers a few weaving courses for rigid heddle and floor looms, plus many more on other fiber topics (sewing, quilting, knitting, crochet, embroidery) and non-fiber topics. 
  • Creative Bug. Offers a beginning tapestry class, but its real strengths are in other areas, such as knitting, sewing and topics beyond fiber arts. Two color classes with a focus on other mediums might be of interest: Creating Color Palettes and Knitting Colorwork
  • Erindale Tapestry Studio. Classes in tapestry, rug hooking, loom beading, and embroidery.
  • Handweaving Academy. In-depth weaving courses and community.
  • Handwoven. If you subscribe to Handwoven, you have digital access to all back issues. You might also consider the All Access option, which includes over 25 workshops and 80 streaming videos. You can also purchase individual workshops/videos from Long Thread Media.
  • Hello Hydrangea. Focus on tapestry. Interesting techniques available through a monthly project subscription series. 
  • Jane Stafford Online Weaving Guild. The focus changes periodically. Membership includes new content every five weeks, plus access to the all past years, which covered Fundamentals of Weaving, Color and Design, and Plain Weave.
  • Rebecca Mezoff. Online tapestry courses.
  • School of SweetGeorgia. Online classes in knitting and crochet, dyeing, weaving, spinning, and color theory
  • Skillshare. A handful of weaving and macrame options, plus plenty on surface design and other fiber arts. A good resource for non-craft instruction, too.
