A brief business meeting and “show-and-tell” precede most meeting programs. Programs are planned to educate, inspire, and create interest in fiber related topics. Members often come early to visit, problem-solve, exchange ideas, and pick up/return library materials. Guests are welcome.
Meeting Locations
Guild membership meetings are held either at the Seymour Center (2551 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill) or at the Triangle Fiber Arts Center (3717 Murphy School Road, Durham).
Meetings at the Seymour Center are generally held between 6:45-8:45 pm on the 4th Thursday of the months of September, October, February, March and April. Meetings at the Triangle Fiber Arts Center (TFAC) are often special events, such as gatherings to celebrate the holidays, welcome new members and to begin and end the year. They are generally held on a Sunday afternoon in the months of December, January, and May. As dates, times, venues and modes can change, consult the Calendar for up-to-the-minute information on meetings.

Health and Safety Policy
Members should not attend any guild event if they have, or have symptoms consistent with, a contagious disease. Masks are welcome, but not generally required. If a class or workshop instructor requires participants to be masked, this will be stated in the registration information. Guild guidelines might change if conditions warrant, in which case updates will be shared.
Inclement Weather
During bad weather, meetings are canceled if the Chapel Hill/Carrboro Schools are closed. Listen to WCHL Radio (91.5 FM) or call a board member if in doubt.
