Many volunteer positions can be shared to lighten the responsibilities for individuals, so if you or a friend would like to volunteer together, that is also an option. Opportunities are many and varied.

Standing Positions
Committee Positions:
- Education Committee Members
- Plan and implement classes, workshops, and Illoominations
- Coordinate challenges, children’s programs, study groups, and education resources
- Organize and facilitate equipment rentals and equipment evaluation and repair
- Communications Committee Members
- Generate publicity, meeting PowerPoints
- Assist with website, social media, online resources
- Produce yearbook
- Facilitate use of electronic equipment for photos, videos, meetings
- Outreach Committee
- Organize and participate in FiberFest, Elf Fair, other community events.
- Organize and participate in Sale and Show, Yard Sale, Gallery Shows
- Organize and participate in Youth Programs
- Membership Committee
- Maintain member database, welcome and orient new members
- Run database reports when required
- Provide refreshments for Guild meetings and events
- Library Committee
- Organize and maintain collection of books, videos, periodicals
- Purchase new materials for library collection
- Assist members with borrowing and returning Items
- Volunteer Coordination Team
- Determine need for volunteers
- Identify members with non-fiber-related work and life skills
- Match members’ skills and interests with open volunteer positions
Board Positions:
- President
- Lead meetings and support decision making
- Identify and address organizational concerns
- Represent TWG to outside organizations
- Work with committee to ensure successful programs
- Vice President
- Develop programs for monthly membership meetings
- Organize and present Show-and-Tell
- Step in if necessary for President
- Secretary
- Attend and provide support for Board Meetings
- Write minutes
- Treasurer
- Track and process all Guild funds
- Manage donations
