This tapestry is called “I am Light and I am Strong”.  Each panel is 12’ X 33”.  It is installed at the UNC Rex Cancer Center at 2605 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh.  The center is now open to patients Monday-Friday.

I wove these panels one at a time on my Macomber loom.  The weft is wool (mostly from Norse Fjord Fiber) with a linen warp.  It took about eight weeks to actually weave, and the entire project was done over a ​six-month period, from design to hanging.
